Getting Started

Set up Walkeon and start your walking journey in minutes.

Walkeon is available on the App Store for iPhone (iOS 17+).

Walkeon uses Apple HealthKit to track your steps automatically. Make sure you have an iPhone with Health app enabled.

First Launch

When you open Walkeon for the first time, you'll meet Walke — your personal walking coach (he's a penguin, and yes, he's adorable).

Walke will guide you through a quick setup:

  1. Choose your goal — lose weight, get healthier, build a walking habit, or improve your mood
  2. Enter your details — age, height, weight, and target weight
  3. Pick your pace — relaxed, steady, or ambitious
  4. See your plan — Walke calculates your predicted goal date based on your data
  5. Allow permissions — HealthKit access so Walkeon can count your steps

Your Daily Goal

Walkeon sets a personalized daily step goal based on your activity level. This isn't a random number — it's calculated to help you reach your target weight at the pace you chose.

Lightly active~8,000 steps
Moderate~9,500 steps
Active~11,500 steps

Understanding the Home Screen

Your Home screen shows everything you need at a glance:

  • Streak flame (top left) — your consecutive days count. Keep it burning!
  • Step bars — visual progress for the past days and today
  • Progress bar — how close you are to today's goal
  • Walke's message — encouragement from your penguin coach

Your streak resets if you miss a day without a Streak Freeze. Check the Streaks guide to learn how to protect it.
